  I visited The Forest Park Hotel in March, when the weather was a bit cold and I enjoyed my time near the nature so much! 🌳⛰️From my balcony I had a very relaxing view to the nature while I was enjoying my morning coffee. ☕ It's about 10' walking distance from the center of Platres, where you can have your lunch and visit the local shop of handmade chocolate! 🍫 Near of it there is a fast food restaurant with tasty gyros & souvlaki that you should definitely try! 😋😋

  I have never felt more unwelcome in a hotel. Our Christmas Holiday was a disaster mainly due to the rude, impolite and untrained staff of the hotel. From the time we arrived until check out we were disappointed with every interaction with the members of the staff. The Greek duty Manager was the worst. This is definitely not a family friendly hotel. The hotel is stuck in the previous century regarding staff attitudes and run down facilities. Rooms are old, smelly with dirty, with mouldy and old carpets (even though we were in the so called “renovated superior rooms”). Such a disaster. This hotel should be shut down in order to renovate the building and hire and train new staff.

  I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very nice. Our large party was greeted with drinks and snacks)). The pillows were amazing, no noise outside. The best sleep I’ve had in a while 😃 I guess it’s an ideal place to stay if you like hiking, you can go to the mountains and waterfalls. There is a swimming pool and a recreational area. The hotel needs a little restoration to shine like a diamond 😄 Next time I’ll come back with a rental car (a car will give you more opportunities to discover interesting places)

  The atmosphere of the hotel even though it is past its glory days is special and the situation is ideal. Contrary to some reviews the staff were attentive friendly and helpful and I wonder whether those reviews told the reader more about the reviewer than about the staff. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The prepared cooked breakfast was not to our taste. We met Heracles the owner whom we have met before.He oozes old world charm.

  We stayed at the hotel at the end of August last year for a few nights and loved it so we booked to stay for six nights this year.I am really sad to say that the differences are enough for me not to want to stay again.Found it in very bad condition and dirty this year and the room we were given we could actually hear the conversations of the people on either side!The breakfast was so so.The pool area was in a poor state and the pool was dirty with no services which means if you wanted a snack or drink you had to go up to the terrace Cafe and back down again.I think they need to fix things soon or deduct a star or two. Such a shame because it's situated in such a beautiful place.
