  Luckily only spent one night here. The hotel is rustic which I thought would add to it. But windows that don't lock properly in minus temperatures is ideal. Doors need some oil. Walls are very thin and you can hear conversation next door. Crying baby next door doesn't help at all. Then came breakfast... Besides very little selection, the coffee was horrible. Toast tasted like it was laying outside for a week. Out of 5 eggs 2 were totally raw. On plus side, lovely location and views. So much more potential in this traditional hotel. But for over 130 euros a night I would expect at least fresh bread and cooked eggs as well as Windows that can be closed.

  I appreciate it is a very old hotel, but can't you at least change the locks, so that your doors actually open and your windows actually close? It's not rocket science.

  We went on a very busy weekend so ofcouse we paid premium (our choise there are very few hotels in the mountains and its fully booked for the snow weekends). We got a call from the owner 24 hours prior to arrival that due to weather damage he has to change the room we had booked. The hotel was full mostly with families with young kids. The rooms are very outdated including the bathroom and other than closet, beds, side table and tv with basic channels there was nothing else in the room. Heating in the room was inadequate. No kettle nor fridge so if you want a hot drink after cold hike you have to go and drink at the bar downstairs. The hotel doesn't offer food or roomservice. There is no elevator. However the breakfast was good and staff was very helpful. It is a beautiful property with lots of potential and for couple of nights its enough sleep accommodation in order to enjoy the nature around.

  The staff was outstanding, and the accommodations were clean and quite comfy. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Anybody traveling to the mountains should stay at this hotel, in my opinion. My time at the New Helvetia Hotel was fantastic. From the valet to the check-in desk to the cleaning crew, every member of staff I came into contact with was friendly and eager to assist. I'm grateful. Will suggest to my coworkers!

  A beautiful 3-star hotel, clean, cosy, friendly with staff willing to help and attend your needs. Rooms are clean, sufficiently equipped with a dissent size bathroom. Breakfast is much better than some 4-star hotels. Products are of good quality. A healthy corner is provided which is vital to me. It has a beautiful and spacious veranda to relax and unwind as well as a beautiful patio at the entrance with gazebo and comfy furniture. Each piece of furniture placed in the common areas are of artistic and historical value. A place that I would definitely go back to.
