::Cant Access the hotel. Just a glimpse from the buffer zone can be seen.
Gunnar Gabrielsen
::Probably the best hotel in the entire buffer zone. Quality peacekeeping and serene ambiance. A must-visit for any serious peacekeeper.

::Leda Palace Hotel ,5 stars for its rich history : The hotel was built in 1946 in the style of a Venetian Palazzo. Until 1974 it was the largest and most luxurious hotel in Nicosia. After the Turkish invasion of 1974 the hotel was trapped in the no-man's land between the government-controlled areas and the occupied North of Cyprus and it has since been used as the headquarters of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. Talks between Greek- and Turkish-Cypriots are held there from time to time. In 2003 the occupying authorities opened the check-points near the Ledra Palace Hotel and it has since become a crossing-point for Greek- and Turkish-Cypriots through the Green Line.

::Stayed there for 6 months in 1978 with the UN Canadian Peacekeeping force. At the time the staff was great. We had all our clothing dry cleaned. 2 of us shared a room and our room overlooked the pool.

::Terrible place to stay due to the policy of the hotel manager. Alcohol is banned for all guests as is social media. All excursions are cancelled unless your part of the hotel managers diving team. Also stay away if you don't like cats as you are forced by the company to give them more attention than your husband or wife. However it is now under new management so hopefully the welfare and moral of its guests pick up.
